Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book recounts the chivalrous adventures, trials, and tribulations of the ingenious nobleman Don Quixote de la Mancha. First published in 1605, this beloved masterpiece by Miguel de Cervantes is widely regarded as the greatest work of Spanish literature and a seminal novel in Western literature. The book follows the idealistic and delusional nobleman as he embarks on a quest to revive chivalry, accompanied by his faithful squire, Sancho Panza. Through their misadventures, the author explores themes of idealism, reality, and the nature of heroism, leading to insightful commentary on the human condition. Don Quixote's relentless pursuit of a bygone era while living in the early stages of a new age reflects the complex societal changes of the time. The novel delves into the clash between romantic ideals and practical realities, examining the human tendency to see the world not as it is, but as we wish it to be. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.

Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book is a multi-layered tale which delves into the mind of its central character, Don Quixote. We follow him as he sets out to revive the diminishing order of chivalry. However, Don Quixote's noble intentions are hampered by his inability to distinguish between reality and the fictional worlds he has read about. The exploration of this duality provides the author with the opportunity to not only craft a compelling story but also to satirize the popularity of chivalric novels of the time. Ultimately, the book questions the nature of truth and the dangers of escapism when one cannot tell the difference between the real and imagined. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.
