Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. 1st Edition. First Edition (first printing). Square 8vo. xvii, 121pp. Yellow cloth lettered in blue at the spine. With decorated endpapers and illustrations throughout contributed by Peter Blake, Richard Hamilton, Adrian Henri, David Hockney, Feliks Topolski and a score of others (apologies for the pun). Top edge lightly spotted, and with just a trace of very light marking to the margins of the cloth. A very good copy in the Peter Blake-designed dust wrapper, price-clipped and a little toned, rubbed and torn. A nice example of Horovitz's visual and literary elegy to 1960s association football. It was issued simultaneously in paperback and casebound format, alongside a signed limited edition of 100 copies, yet strangely this trade casebound issue appears to be the most uncommon of the three formats.
