Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. Includes numerous illustrations as well as recipes. The book is square with sound hinges. All pages are clean and undamaged. Exterior covers are clean but with a little insect damage near top edge of covers, and to the bottom edges of covers and spine. No bumped corners. Light wear to top and bottom edges of the spine. The dust jacket is not price-clipped but there is price correction in black marker to the price on the inside flap. The jacket is otherwise completely clean with light toning (age tanning) to inside flaps, spine and edges of covers. There is a little wear to top and bottom edges of the jacket including a single 3/4" closed edge tear along the top edge of the front panel. Book and dust jacket will be bubble-wrapped and carefully packed in a sturdy box to ensure safe transit.

Hunting and cooking deer, bear, boar, goose, pheasant, duck, turkey, fishing for trout, striped bass and other fish, shellfish, snapping turtle. Also a chapter on lures and decoys, stories of shooting and fishing, etc. It even includes a recipe for uccelletti with black olives, made with 24 grackles. The author was an advertising executive for Harper's Bazaar and her husband a sportswear manufacturer - this book represents their country lifestyle away from their city life. Some of Mrs. McGrail's shooting was done wearing short skirts and some very odd hats. Very good in very good wrapper.
Condition: as new. Dust Jacket Condition: very good. Hbk 196pp illustr color photos dj shelfworn with one or two very small closed tears but not price-clipped ($20) and now in protective sleeve otherwise an excellent clean tight unmarked copy as new.
