Condition: Sehr gut. 14 x 21cm. 204 pages. Original softcover. Excellent condition. Signed by author on title page. The Presentation Brothers opened a school in Cork City in 1811. This collection of biographies features various Brothers who have been associated with the school in its long history. The biographies include nationally known figures, such as Edmund Rice and Jerome Kelly, but also Brothers like Baptist Quille, who died in 1913 at the age of twenty-five and would be known only to his family and confreres. All of them, however, though differing widely in talents and personality, displayed qualities that made them respected and esteemed by pupils, parents and colleagues.
