The author of the book - Ioann Shadrin was a priest (protoiyerey) and a leader of the Russian old-believers in Manchuria. The book is signed by the author Na pamyat nashey vstrechi Yamazoe-sanu. Ot avtora 30 V. 1941 g. to the Japanese translator from the Russian language, whose name was Yamazoe-san. The book was sold from his collection to the present owner via a Japanese auction. Extremely rare. Published in 500 copies. Two copies are found at OCLC. Text in Russian. 18,4x13cm. 161, VII pp. Offset reproductions of the 17th century parsuna. Browning of the paper. Occasional foxing. Chipped edges. Losses on the spine. Paper wrappers. Signed in black inks. Water stains, very few. Very good to near fine condition. Signed by Author(s).
