Uncut fore and bottom edges. Unopened pages (along fore-edge). Frontispiece with tissue guard. Illustated with plates. 125pp. plus 6-page index. Dust jacket has a few small tears, chips, and stains, as well as sunning to it's spine and parts of it's covers. Book's cover and spine has a few minor stains also. Very slight foxing inside; text is mostly clean. Text body is free from underlining, highlighting, or notes. Full refund if not satisfied.

Light nicking and chipping to edges of covers, with chipping to spine ends. Previous owner's name to head of front cover. Light spotting to front cover which is mainly visible on verso. Very light bump to bottom corner of text block. Binding sound despite chipping to spine ends. . Soft Cover. Very Good.

Limited to 500 copies of which the first 160 copies specially bound and including an original proof engraving as a frontispiece signed by the artist, this being copy 135 Some soiling to spine. Foxing to endpapers. Wrinkling to the last few pages.

Loose woodcut inserted bearing Gordon Craig's initials. Original brown buckram with gilt top edges, titling a little dull on the spine and with some light wear to the head of the spine, final page a little age toned but overall a very good copy. Limited edition of 160 copies of which 150 were for sale, numbered 28 and signed by Edward Gordon Craig. Signed by Author(s).

First edition hard back binding in publisher's original donkey brown buckram covers, bevelled edges, gilt title and author lettering to the spine, blocked 'G. C.' monogram to the front cover, top edge gilt. 4to 11'' x 8½''. Contains seven-page introduction by Campbell Dodgson, C.B.E. [xx] 122 printed pages of text with tipped in woodcut frontispiece and 58 tipped in reproduction woodcuts, together with various illustrations in the text. Tissue-guarded hand written number 25 of 160 Limited Edition copies of which 150 are for sale. SIGNED by the author. Additional loosely laid-in original 50 mm square Edward Gordon Craig woodcut dated 1910, initialed by Craig 'E.G.C. 1923' stating 'Only 50 Signed copies, copy 13' added by Craig to the bottom margin. Just a little surface rubbing of the buckram to the bottom edge of the rear board. Very Good condition book in Poor condition dust wrapper with the majority of the paper down the down missing, chips to the edges.
