    Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Limited edition facsimile of the folios from the Great Domesday book pertaining to Wiltshire. Comprising of three volumes, the first contains a high quality reproduction of the original pages and inserted maps of Britain at the time and a large, detailed map of Wiltshire. The second volume contains introductory essays and a translation of the text with an index of names and places. The third volume features numerous studies of the book and the world it recorded, by various authors, with numerous b/w illustrations and maps. Presented in a half leather bound case that can be adapted into a display stand. Volumes are bound in quarter cream cloth. Limited to 1000 copies, of which this is 333. Folio (410x285mm) Front joint leather is split but cloth joints beneath are holding. Various marking to spine. Tiny amount of offsetting to spine of introductory volume. Otherwise volumes are crisp and clean. Very good overall. *Due to size and weight, extra shipping fees may apply to overseas orders*.
