Add to basketHardback. Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. Small Quarto Size [approx 18x24cm]. Very Good condition in Very Good Dustjacket. DJ protected in our clear archival purpose-made plastic sleeve. A nice copy. Illustrated with Black & White Photographs and Line Drawings. Robust, professional packaging and tracking provided for all parcels. 128 pages. J.G. Robinson is today, perhaps, one of the more legendary locomotive designers. The reasons for this are obvious - his career ended with the Grouping and only two examples of his designs are preserved. And yet in his time Robinson was in the forefront of locomotive design and his engines proved both attractive - his Atlantics were nicknamed "Jersey Lilies" after Lily Langtree - and durable - his 2-8-0s were still in service in Australia until 1975.
