Seller: Between the Covers-Rare Books, Inc. ABAA, Gloucester City, NJ, U.S.A.
Softcover. Condition: Fine. Unused package of 10 notebooks with an original wraparound band; with one duplicate. Each has stapled photographically illustrated wrappers with 44 unlined pages and measure 7" x 9.5". Overall near fine or better except for a couple notebooks with light tidemarks and one - presumably the outermost book in the pack - with some scuffing, tidemark and oxidation at one staple. A set of unused "scribbler" notebooks with the original wraparound band featuring an offer by the manufacturer for a scout knife for 15 cents. The covers of each book feature a different films star such as Laurel and Hardy, Jackie Cooper, Jeanette MacDonald, Maurice Chevalier, Robert Montgomery, Joan Crawford, and Joe E. Brown. While undated, they appears to have been produced in 1932, the same year as several of the films featuring the stars mentioned, notably *The Gay Caballero*, *Letty Lynton*, and *Society Girl*. A charming collection of notebooks showing the extent of early film marketing.
