Hardcover. Condition: Good. Undated but likely 1934 (the preface is dated 1934). 148pp plus 4pp of insurance related advertisements at rear. In brown cloth-covered boards with black titles front and spine. 12mo. Cloth is a little worn and faded, gently rubbed at edges, rounded and threadbare at corners and spine ends, with some mild markings. Hint of toning to endpapers, else internally neat, clean, bright and tight. A discursive reflection of the challenges facing insurance inspectors and salesmen, likely a practical analysis at the time but now offering a fascinating insight into the nature of the business in the early part of the 20th century. Would likely make an great and interesting gift for anyone involved in the insurance industry today. Very hard to find title.
