Soft Cover. Condition: Good. 4th. Scarce. Cream card covers with black lettering to front. Covers are marked and generally grubby. Edges are creased with various small nicks. Stamps from various previous owners to the front. Spine is age darkened with damage to both ends; more so the the bottom which is tearing away. Pages are held with three metal studs. Internally, there are various annotations neatly made in black ink. Textblock has one or two grubby marks but is generally clean. Marks from various previous owners to the title page. Additional photos are available upon request. When securely packed this item will weigh in the region of 1850g. Seven tabbed sections: General, Airplane (wings, fuselage, etc), Propeller, Engine, Armament, Equipment, and Misc. Tables). The Propeller section has marginal notations and several loose supplemental inserts. All other sections clean, unmarked and complete. 250 pages, many illustrations. The armament section (121 pp) is particularly interesting, with detailed expositions of gunnery and bombs. A scarce manual, compiled for use by the Air Service, based at McCook field, before the development of Wright-Patterson.
