Printed Wrappers. Condition: Very Good -. First Edition. 44pp, 32 b&w illustrations. Text in French. In a protective clear acetate dustwrapper. Published in 1949, this monographic Cahiers D'Art publication presents full page illustrations of thirty-two paintings from a total of sixty-five exhibited works executed by Pablo Picasso between 1946 and 1949. Held at Paris' Maison de la Pensee Francaise between July and December, the show was the most comprehensive presentation to date of the artist's post-war output. An internally bright, handsome example of this exceedingly uncommon document - only seven copies are currently cited in OCLC WorldCat - showing some mild wear, soiling, and staining to its cream colored covers along with a quarter inch of paper loss at the bottom edge of the spine. It has been priced accordingly. Artist Monograph.
