He is best known for his leadership of Canada during World War I. Borden was born in Grand-Pré, Nova Scotia. Sir Charles George Douglas Roberts KCMG FRSC was a Canadian poet and prose writer. He was one of the first Canadian authors to be internationally known. He published various works on Canadian exploration and natural history, verse, travel books, and fiction. First and last blank pages have been cut out.
