Hardcover. Condition: Very Good +. Early Edition. EARLY EDITION, 1851 / 1855. COMPLETE, TWO VOLUME SET. French text. Dark maroon full leather covers with gilt stamped designs and lettering. Gilt page edges. Marbled end-papers. Frontispieces (volume 2 has a tissue guard). Illustrated with woodcut plates throughout. Volume 1 is has no pagination. Volume 2 is 308pp. Each volume has a few spots of rubbing, but overall the covers are well-preserved. Light sunning to the spines, as well as a small portion of Volume 2's front cover. Volume 1 is foxed. Volume 2 only has some slight foxing, and is mostly clean. Ex-library. Text bodies are free from underlining, highlighting, or notes. A truly beautifully designed set. Very attractive. Full refund if not satisfied.
