First Edition Vintage Pulp magazine in Pictorial wrappers [about 6.75" x 9.75"], 144 pages, illustrated. Includes "Gun for a Gringo" by Cornell Woolrich, "The Ghost Mascot by Anthony Rud, "Longhair Said No" by Richard Sale, etc. Good only copy with the spine toned with shallow chipping to the ends, creasing and light soiling and the usual edge wear to the cover, significant fore-edge chipping to the front cover, text paper tanned as usual. Includes a list of all winners from the various divisions at National Hackney Shows 1946-1956. This is not dated, probably from 1958. Printed by W E Baxter, Limited, Lewes. Unclipped dust wrapper has a few small chips and closed tears, and is missing rear flap and 20% of rear panel (which is solid cream), now underlaid w/white paper backing from new mylar and displays well. Rare item. Hackney Champions 1946 - 1957 profusely illustrated with b/w photos of foals, mares and stallions in hand, under saddle and in harness, single - four-in-hand.
