Plate is detached but present with cracks to guttering with exposed netting. Both hinges are cracked with exposed netting. Boards have visible rubbing and ink marks and notable bumping to corners. Fair crushing to spine ends and visible rubbing to spine.

Boards heavily worn and marked all over, rubbing and rounding at corners and spine tips, very slightly bowed, and reinforced with tape around edges and spine. Some spotting on prelims and one page spread markedly soiled. Previous owner's label, dated 1935, on front free endpaper. Slightly loose. . A charming, if somewhat moralistic to modern eyes, story for children. Hard to find title.
