Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. Cicely Steed (illustrator). 1st Edition. Green cloth backstrip with pictorial paper covered boards. Title page printed with a second color. A tale of India with a very substantial text in this picture book format. Numerous black and white drawings, and six full page three-color illustrations. Endpapers show some slight offset browning, inscription on front endpaper, extremities slightly worn. A very good copy, internally excellent. Dust jacket is just a little browned and edgeworn and would be very good but for the absence of the front flap. Front panel is complete (and very attractive), but the whole flap appears to have been torn off at the fold. A pretty nice copy of this beautifully illustrated short novel.
