Paperback. Condition: Very Good. Second Edition. This is described as a reprint of the 1986 University of Iowa paperback original, with no changes made. Presumably the idea was to later refine the book with some changes, but it doesn't appear that ever happened. It is quite fresh and clean, but with slight cover wear and light denting to the bottom of all pages, not affecting the text. You will be quite staisfied with this as a reading copy. Ms. Davis's husband, Nathan Davis, was a notable jazz saxophonist who was an early origniator of the concept of university-based jazz studies. Fast shipping, careful packing. ; 125 pages.
