Book
Cloth, 8vo, 25 cm, xxiii, 632 pp. This bio-bibliographical reference book provides an excellent introduction to the lives and works of some 51 of the most important women writers in the history of French literature. The writers selected include all the major names in the canon and several lesser-known figures with a substantial body of published work. Each writer is the subject of an essay of about 10 pages covering her life and work, with an emphasis on her experiences as a writer, a discussion of her major themes, and a brief survey of critical reactions. Each essay is followed by a short bibliography of primary works, a list of titles translated into English, and a selection of critical studies, with somewhat more extensive bibliographical information for the lesser-known authors. An additional essay describes the trobairitz, the women troubadours of the twelfth and thirteenth centuries. The volume ends with a chronology which features the dates of events and trends of special significance to French women. The chronology also serves to place their writings in the context of important literary movements and alongside the productions of their usually better-known male contemporaries. Fine.

Condition: Good. Presumed to be a reproduced copy. 140, [1] pages. (Blank page between pages 9 and 10). Illustrations. Occasional footnotes. Printed with some color. Prepared for the Office of Transformation, NA-10.1, National Nuclear Security Administration. The Nuclear Weapons Complex (NWC) is transforming to become more efficient and effective with a desired end state being the "2030 Vision" (DOE/NA-0013). One of the principal transformation goals is to improve overall performance of the NWC through integration efforts that will benefit the entire enterprise (NNSA and the M&Os). Integration improvement efforts throughout the NWC are being periodically evaluated to ensure that planned results are achieved. This NWC Integration Survey was developed and deployed to establish a baseline that may be used to assess future progress. The results of this and subsequent surveys will be used by NNSA in developing recommendations and action plans to ensure integration efforts and improvements are coursing throughout the NWC. The survey methodology enabled tracked various metrics as can be seen in the attached graphical results. Recommendations for any desired changes for subsequent surveys are included. The NWC Integration Survey focused on obtaining feedback from NNSA and M&O contractor personnel involved in 'Weapons Activities' throughout the NWC regarding the current status of integration efforts and activities as they related to achieving Complex 2030. The survey was comprised of six demographic questions, seventeen multiple choice, and five open-ended core questions. A pilot survey was utilized to refine the questions and added several additional questions. The actual survey questions are included in the Appendix to this report. Disbound, held together with binder clip.
