First Edition. Small 8vo. Text in English & French. [17]pp; 2 double-sided plates; 10 illustrations. Catalog for an exhibition from November 18 to December 3, 1955 at La Galerie Furstenberg, Paris. Introduction by Henry Miller. Lists 22 paintings and 11 sculptures. Staple-bound wraps in about fine condition (light wear). Born Daniel Albert Harris (1914-1986), he changed his name to Zev when he moved to Europe in 1953 having been discovered a decade earlier by Grace McCann Morley, founder of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. During this period, Zev lived in Big Sur, CA where most likely he met Henry Miller and where his artistic handprint is evident throughout the iconic Nepenthe Restaurant, most notably his whimsical bird logo.
