Hardcover. Condition: Fair. Octavo, hardcover. beautiful pictorial green boards. An interesting book from late 1800's. Gilt on cover is very bright and well preserved. Black designs of canoe and dog train. However, the rest of the book is poor; front hinge is broken and title page missing. A child has scribbled in pencil on front and back pages. Endpapers on back missing. 266 pp. with several pictures cut out of text, unfortunately. A reading copy with some of the art still intact. Book.

Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. written by a missionary living amongst First Nations tribes in the late Victorian period. The illustrations encapsulate their lifestyles along the Nelson River, with many pictures of canoes, dog teams, hunting for deear in winter, drying meat etc.Interestingly there are several early photographic reproductions , including 3 at the rear of the Reverend Egerton dressed in tribal gear. Interior has ex prize label for the LMS, for a New Year's Collection of 5 shillings . Interior otherwise very clean with all pages tight in binding, decorative cloth covers clean and unscuffed.

Binding, cover and spine all robust and very negligible wear; top left corner of front cover and is stained or very sunned. Inscriptions on inside cover dated 1893 then 1912. Contents very clean throughout, binding tight.

Hardcover. Condition: Good. No Jacket. First Edition. Rare first edition of the book about the Indian evangelisation in the late 1800's. Book is complete but shows considerable wear. Front board is loose and the spine is worn on both board edges. Boards show dirt and a slight waterstain to the front board . Gilding is intact but shows some wear mainly to the word Indians in the title. Interior is in very good shape but shows minor age toning. A good reading copy.
