This collection includes biographical details as well as collected works and letters, especially relating to Henry Kirke White. Henry Kirke White was an English poet who tragically died at a young age. Despite his early death he produced several works of poetry which were later collected by Robert Southey. Thomas Campbell was was a Scottish poet chiefly remembered for his sentimental poetry. his most famous work, 'The Pleasures of Hope' was instantly popular due to its topical subjects such as the French Revolution and slavery. In a full calf binding. Externally, smart with light rubbing. Some bumping. Spine sunned. Hinges tender but still reasonably firm. Institutional label to front pastedown.
