With typed, signed letter, folded; five carbon copies of typed poems or song lyrics, signed, folded; and two cards with printed poems; all pasted in at endpapers and on blank pages in text. A photograph of the author and baby daughter, with notation, is mounted on rear pastedown. Of the five typed poems, three are included in the present collection; one ("To Miriam") is addressed to the recipient of this copy, and is presumably unpublished; and one is noted "Sold these verses to the Ladies' Home Journal last week," with an additional comment in pencil. Stott was known for his hymn texts and religious poems. Fairly worn, with head and heel of spine, corners of boards, and lower edge of front board bumped, rubbed and frayed; page edges tanned, page corners bumped, front free endpaper and first leaf loose and laid in.
