Archaeologist Ruth DeEtte Simpson (1918 - 2000) spent much time working with Dr. Louis Leakey; she as curator of the Heard Museum in Arizona and Southwest Museum in Los Angeles, and was later the County Archeologist at the San Bernardino County Museum in Redlands, California.
