Moderate staining to rear wrapper. ; No date (c. 1945). 22 pages. Dimensions: 9 3/8" by 7 5/8". Wartime cartoons by Frank Sharpey. Black and white cartoons. Cover illustration in colour. "These drawings are taken from a very casual Kriegie magazine called "BAG - HAPPY," published at various camps in Italy and Germany between '42 and '45." Photographic illustrations of prisoners of war being released on rear wrapper with caption: "Freedom! It was bound to happen // in the end". Foreword begins: "When you've paid for this, go straight upstairs and tuck it away in the attic with that Mark Nine blower you brought home just in case. // Because in 1984 little Alfie is going to toddle up to your withered knee and he'll say, 'Grandpapa, tell me about when you were in that old war thing.' That'll be your chanve to bring down these very pictures, yellow with age, and spin him a couple of horror yarns, and show him the scar on your shoulder where you pushed that Mark Four over the escarpment."
