Jacques-Henri Bernardin de Saint-Pierre was a French writer and botanist. He is best known for the novel Paul et Virginie published in 1788. This novel is considered a French classic. It is a story of love and friendship set during the French Revolution. Bound in a full calf binding. Generally smart. Missing the spine label. Rubbing to the boards, spine, and hinges resulting in loss. Age toning to the text block. Internally firmly bound. Spotting to the first and last pages but generally, pages are bright and clean with the odd spot. Contemporary ink inscription on the title page. Very Good. book.
