Corresponds to OCLC #317800311 & #10152298. "Born at St. Leon on 30 January 1893, daughter of Leon Roy and Melina Landry and older sister of Gabrielle Roy, her family later moved to St. Boniface where she studied at Academie St. Joseph and the St. Boniface Normal School. She continued on to Queen s University in Ontario and the University of Alberta in Edmonton. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in 1934. Roy taught in rural schools in Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta between 1912 and 1959. She wrote a book entitled Le Pain de Chez-Nous (1954) as well three other books in the 1970s. Her most important literary contribution is her autobiography, Miroir du passé, published at Montréal in 1979. She died in Le Foyer Valade at St. Vital in 1998."
