Condition: Good, No Dust Jacket. 1882 edition. 4TO, 291 pgs, B/W Illus Hardcover: Maroon cloth binding with title on frontboard and on spine in gold. All outside edges and corners are rubbed and frayed. Cloth at spine ends are torn. Crack in rear gutter and rear inside hinge which seems to have been partially glue repaired. Last few index pages are a bit wobbly, edges are roughed. Front inside hinge is also cracked and has been tape repaired. Paste-downs and endpapers are foxed. Some illustrations are tissue-guarded. This is the history of the celebration of the Centennial of the surrender of Lord Cornwallis at Yorktown. Letters and 'events'. Illustrated. Nice tight binding.
