Paperback. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Included. First Edition. Leabrook, Printed by A.R. & A.G. Smedley for Oswald Pryor, 1950. Octavo, 69 pages with 60 full-page cartoons. Plain card covers slightly marked; title page a little tanned; an excellent copy with the very good attached colour-pictorial dustwrapper lightly rubbed, creased and marked, with the tanned spine. Inscribed and signed in ink by Oswald Pryor (1881-1971) on the verso of the title page; the recipient has signed his name above the title on the front cover, adding 'A.W.U. Office'. 'Cornish families at Moonta and Wallaroo, the miners, their 'cappens', preachers, chapels and goats were comically portrayed to a large and appreciative audience' ('Australian Dictionary of Biography').
SOFTCOVER. Frank Johnson, 1945. A good copy of this very scarce cartoon collection. The pages and wraps are uniformly age tanned. The wraps are rubbed to the stapled spine and the rear wrap is worn and has some insect damage. The contents are unmarked and undamaged. For it's age and the fragile wartime production qualities this copy has survived very well. Scans available if required.
