Christian Science: Early in the 20th century Mary Baker Eddy's spiritual and intellectual, rather than material and social, approach to being Christian was gaining followers and media attention. A friendly dialogue began among clergy, and this biography later followed. Mrs. Eddy was a New England healer who in 1866 had "discovered the Christ Science." in her own words. Born Mary Baker in Bow, N.H., 1821, and thrice married, she died in 1910, Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, at her home and writing center. Good. No dust jacket.
