Hardcover. Condition: Good. 1976 second edition, revised and enlarged, The Bibliographical Society (London), 9 3/4 x 12 1/2 inches tall blue cloth hardcover in publisher's unclipped dust jacket, gilt lettering to spine, xi, 494 pp. Very slight soiling and rubbing to covers, with very slight bumping to all four tips. Otherwise, a very good copy - clean, bright and unmarked - in a very slightly soiled and edgeworn dust jacket which is nicely preserved and displayed in a clear archival Brodart sleeve. Now universally known as 'STC,' it has become indispensable to historians, literary scholars, and bibliographers, whose work involves printed sources before the Civil War. This second part of the second revised edition (I-Z) was the first to be published in 1976, while Volume I covering A-H was first published in 1980; it was followed by a third volume, containing the addenda and supplementary materials.
