Soft cover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. 1st Edition. 8vo, stiff wrappers. 208 pp, 26 facimile reproductions of documents. English text. Shortly after the German conquest of northern and eastern France in 1940 their Italian allies invaded and occupied much of the French Riviera. Although officially part of the rump Vichy France the territory was administered by the Italian High Command, which had little linterst in implementing the anti-Jewish measures being undertaken in areas controlled by Germany or the Vichy regime. This attitude, which often directly contravened orders from the Gestapo and the Vichy administration, extended to the Italian-occupied parts of Yugoslavia and Greece as well. Not until Italy left the war was the fate of Jews living in these areas made similar to those in the remainder of continental Europe. This book, published by the Center of Contemporary Jewish Documentation, Paris, was compiled from documents found in the abandoned archives of German, Italian and Vichy administrative offices. Very good except for a diagonal crease affecting the cover and first 20 pp of text.

Also Yugoslavia and Greece. Some shelf war to covers and spine. The book is otherwise in very good condition. There are no inscriptions and all contents are tight and clean.
