Contains "About 120 Full-page and Numerous Text Illustrations, 16 Colored Plates in Facsimile from Dr. Nansen's Own Sketches, Etched Portrait and Photogravures. [No statement calling for maps on the title page.] There are no maps or pockets for maps in either volume and no evidence of pocket removal.

With approx. 120 full-Page and Numerous Text Illustrations, 16 Colored Plates in Facsimile from Dr. Nansen's Own Sketches, Etched Portrait, Photogravures and 4 Folding Maps. Both volumes well bound and in collectible very good condition. With gilt, green, red and silver decoration to the front panel of each volume. Prior owner name to the front endpaper of each volume. Minor staining to the endpapers of Volume One. A handsome set of books.
