Cloth. Condition: Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. First Edition. First/first (UK) in heavily darkened at spine and margins. Chipping top & bottom of spine with one large 3/4-inch deep chip/tear and one small nick. There is small torn hole in jacket front panel 1/4' x 1/8'. Not price clipped. Original British price of 2/6 net on flap bottom corner. Ochre cloth boards with red lettering spine edge. Mild spine lean. Browning/darkening to spine & board edges. General dust staining and a few dark spots here and about. Small dink to front board edge: top, middle. Tanning/foxing to end pages. In fountain pen a previous owner inked name front free end page. Textblock top edge is much darkened with foxing. Bottom & fore-edge also darkening but less so. Binding is sound. Interior text is without markings. No underling, etc. Frank Pitcairn is nom de plume for Claud Cockburn (1904 - 1981) the great journalist and British Communist Party member.
