Hardcover. Condition: Fair. Small book measures about 4 by 5 3/4 inches with 36 pages. The Pleasant Way, was written as one subject from, "RILLS FROM THE FOUNTAIN OF LIFE" , Sermons to Children on Eternal Matters. There were 10 subjects in this sermon. This subject published seperately at some point. No date but likely published around 1870 or so. Book is a bit rough, some moderate rubbing with a lighter area on rear board, decorative boards, some wear at the spine ends and corners, moderate to heavy foxing throughout, gutter split at last page, penciled gift inscription on first blank endpaper dated 1873, endpapers a bit wrinkled, rear one has some soiling.

Slight water stains and colour bleeding to rear pastedown. Boards have minor corner bumping and edgewear with mild staining, tanning and scuffing overall; heavier to rear board. Spine has heavier tanning with soft splitting, fraying and crushing to ends. Book has a slight forward lean.

Hardcover. Condition: Good. Dust Jacket Condition: No Dust Jacket. Imperialist, racist nonsense, pocket-sized hardcover with printed front board, no dust jacket, in good condition. This book is undated and was not published in 1900, however gift inscription reads 1914. Boards are marked and edges, corners and spine ends are bumped and rubbed. Hinge breaks at both boards, and gutter breaks at places within. Page block is tanned and blemished, and gift plate pasted on FEP. A few of the pages are lightly marked, however pages remain tightly bound and mainly clear throughout. LW. Used.
