Finally he decided to pen the stages of his growth, diverse experience and mention all the people who, in one form or another, helped to shape his career. Each and every person he met, whether students, research scholars, colleagues, family, friends, superiors and even the interactions with delegates in seminar and conferences have helped to shape his thinking process which he has tried to portray in the eight sections of this autobiography. He also dwelt on the challenges of teaching of a dreary subject like economics among the first generation graduate and post graduate students.
