Previous owner's inscription to reverse of frontispiece. Noticeable creasing to gutter. Cracking to hinges and gutters, leaving netting exposed. Pages remain intact. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Soft crushing to spine ends. Noticeable tanning to spine and edges. Light marks to boards.
Hardcover. Condition: Good. 335p. Undated; circa turn of the 20th century. In brown cloth with a maple leaf design, and lettering in gold and black. Handling soil, bumping and rubbing. Cloth splitting at corners. Ink staining on rear board. Interior shows moderate to heavy foxing, with the heaviest at the endpapers. Front free endpaper has an old and very faded property stamp. Endpapers at both ends have split down the hinge. Some pulling/gapping between signatures, but the binding overall is still sound. Size: 12mo.

The cloth at the tail of the spine has been turned and one corner has been lightly bumped. Light rubbing to the board corners. Presentation bookplate to the front paste down dated 1913 from Zion Baptist Sunday School. Some toning to the end papers. The textblock is very clean and tight. A well preserved, very good copy.
