Jammer ontbreekt in dit exemplaar pp 165 - 174 en pp 209-212 (+ 2 portretten) . Verder vinden we nog een afbeelding van de universiteit van Leiden, het theatrum anatomicum en de hortus medicus. Een weinig waterschade doorheen het boek , doch algemeen in goede toestand.

Die Bindung ist gelockert. Innen fehlen etwaige unbedruckte Vorsatzblätter, das Papier ist gebräunt, Seiten durchgehend vor allem im ersten Teil wasserrandig, wenige Seiten mit geringen Randläsionen. Contemporary diced calf with triple gilt ruling, spine compartments with gilt, marbled edges, matching marbled end papers, silk page marker still present. Head and tail pieces. Leather is rubbed at extremities, spine gilt mostly gone and spine a bit rubbed, head of spine rubbed. Interior front cover has bookplate of William Markham ( 1719-1807) , the archbishop of York and the namesake for the town in Ontario. Overall title page has a bit of chipping at bottom edge. Paper is clean and unmarked saved for the occasional light foxing. A collection of philological studies of subjects from Greek antiquity, including a study of the Piraeus harbour, as well as the editio princeps of the grammarian Helladius Byzantinus (4th century) , by the Dutch scholarJohannes van Meurs (1579-1639).
