Hardcover. Condition: Fair. First edition. 8vo, vii, 400 pages, contemporary full sheep, top detached, rear cracked, spotted. Meeker was a minister, probably in Elizabethtown, NJ, and probably later in Vermont. LC classes these as Presbyterian sermons, but he clearly intended them for a wider audience. This work apparently went through eight editions in quick succession. Here are 24 sermons on topics including human character, death, and resurrection.
