Navy cloth-covered boards with silver lettering to the spine and front cover panel (during the printing of the publisher name on the spine, a tiny splotch of the silver has found its way to the lower front board). There is some offsetting from the jacket flaps to the end-papers, and an attractive original bookseller sticker to the bottom of the front paste-down. There are a couple of original bookseller prices pencilled to the top of the rear end-paper. The pages and edges of the text-block are age-tanned, with quite heavy foxing to the top edge. The binding is square and firm and the corners are sharp. The jacket is in lovely condition, with some soiling and foxing to the all-white rear panel, and light sunning to the spine.There is only light edge-wear (no chips or tears). The verso of the jacket is age-tanned, with some offsetting and foxing. The jacket is now protected and enhanced by a clear, removable sleeve. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
