Condition: Fair. No Edition Remarks. 226 pages. No dust jacket. Blue cloth with gilt lettering. Black and white photographic plates. Undated but pen inscription to front free endpaper states 1913. Moderate tanning to pages and plates. More prominent to text block edges, pastedowns and free endpapers. Moderate cracking and creasing to gutters causing some looseness to binding but pages remain attached. Boards have minor corner bumping and edgewear with mild tanning and scuffing overall. Spine has heavier tanning with soft crushing to ends. Lettering remains bright and clear. Book has a slight forward lean.

VG throughout including VG dust wrapper. Minor fading to the colour of the jacket over the spine. Presentation certificate to a trooper of the Div Cav. pgs 445, maps illustrations. Appears rarely opened. The Divisional Cavalry was formed at the outbreak of the war and saw action in all the theatres of action in which the 2nd NZ division participated. THe history is detailed and well illustrated. Considered as rare, if not more so, than the history of the Maori Battalion, this text represents a vital part of the record of the New Zealanders in World War Two. Very Rare, particularly in this excellent condition.
