Heavy tanning to text block edges. Light foxing to pastedowns and endpapers with small price inscription to front. Boards have moderate shelf wear, with rubbing and marking. Light bumping to corners and crushing to spine ends. Book has noticeable forward lean, with light sunning to spine and edges. Boards are slightly bowed.

Nice tight copy, no names or marks inside. ; B&W Illustrations and Photographs; 76 pages; The author was a Russian Imperial calvary officer in the First Hussars, who found that the standard 'Dressage' seat practiced by the Military before the First World War did not give good control of the horse under battle conditions. When he left Russia after the revolution, he founded a riding school in New York, and adopted the Caprelli forward seat to teach his students. Written for the beginner, but full of information and excellent illustrations and photographs for the experienced rider.
