Hardcover. Condition: Fair. First edition. 271p, no ills. Covers dampstained and wrinkled, as shown. Ex-lending library. Occasional staining to the gutters, else Internally clean and complete. Western romance set in the Arizona desert, by an author more remembered today for his cowboy poetry. "Miss Percival, a pretty girl from Chicago, thought she could flirt with Johnny Trent. She coveted a certain wild gray stallion, an outlaw of the high meadows. And Johnny 'cal'lated' that if he could catch this horse for her she would undoubtedly marry him" (from the jacket flap mounted to the front endpaper). Not a pretty copy, but a spirited tale very much of its day.
