Manuscript / Paper Collectible First Edition Signed
Paper Ephemera. Condition: Near Fine. 1st Edition. A unique item. Offered is an original, handwritten and signed two-page letter from Klaus Wittmann on Andre Emmerich stationery to artist David Hockney (lacking original envelope and attachment). No date, although probable 1989. Each page of the stationery measures 4-1/4" by 5-1/2" and reads as follows: "Dear David Hockney, My name is Klaus Wittman, son of an old traditional vinery-family. Friends of mine did special wine-labels as you see in the little booklet. I want to ask you, if you would be interested also in doing one I would appreciate very much. I am leaving town Apr. 1, so I won't be able to see you. I'll call you later or write you. Last year I visited [Ronny?] [Geldfabler?], he showed me Southampton, maybe he remembers. Best regards, Klaus Wittmann." The lightest of wear. Signed by Author(s).
