More than a dozen scholars have written brilliant commentaries on the works of Raghunath, their Adi Guru. One of the most famous commentaries on the works and the ideas of Raghunath Shiromani is the one by Jagdish Tarkalankara who has exhibited his skill, scholarship & interest in explaining mainly the problems & subtle points connected with testimony (Pramana) of Anumana., The Commenrary is known as Jagadishi. In order to facilitate the understanding of the views of Jagadish Tarkalankara, Pandit Dharma Dutta (Bachcha) Jha of Mithila in the last part of the 19th century wrote down an exposition of certain selected topics previously explained by Jagadish. His exposition is known as Gudhartha-tattvaloka. The present work tries to explain in simpler terms and expressions the difficult & less intelligible points in the Gudhartha tattvaloka of Dharma Dutta Jha. Though written in form of a Bhasya on the Gudharthatattvaloka, it is more or less an independent scholarly work that sheds light on all the minute aspects of the Siddhanta Lakshana .,." - preface] Rubbed.
