From Title Page:" With Historical Notes, Scenic Accounts and Descriptive and Scientific Matters of Interest to Visitor's, based upon new and original explorations." This book is in Very Good condition, age considered. It is a heavy gage stock board covers that are highly ornate and decorated in black lettering with a med. orange color. There are chips on the corners of front cover, wear, light soil, slight fading. The Interior Frontispiece and several other pages have very early examples of black and white photos of the Scenic and interesting caves, which are highlighted with more ornate Victorian era embellishments. There is a Preface by the authors, and a Synopsis, in place of an table of context presumably. Titles include here: "The Cavern Region of Kentucky, Historical Sketch and Environment, The Route of Pits and Domes, The Cheif City and Fairy Grotto (main cave route), The River Route, The Natural History of the Cavern and The Map". An Interesting and collectible volume here.

No such others on Abe as of December 2021. Exterior is a bit rubbed, edges/tips/ spine ends very modestly worn, but gilt is bright. Inside has neat PO signature to FEP, otherwise unmarked, crisp, and firmly bound with modest toning. Frontispiece. Over two doken photographs plus a fold out map to the rear.Very nice.
