Without wrappers (not issued), as published. = The ANSP Proceedings were the foremost zoological journal in the U.S.A., being especially strong in ornithology and molluscs. This volume, however, also contains a fine, geological and topographical map by the American geologist Ferdinand Vandeveer Hayden (1829-1887), with an accompanying paper, titled: Notes explanatory of a map and section illustrating the geological structure of the country bordering the Missouri River, from the mouth of the Platte River to Fort Benton, in lat. 47° 30' N., long. 110° 30' W. A very good, complete Volume. Rare.
