Text block is a strong very good, but outer wrappers are somewhat edgeworn, rubbed and rough along the fragile spine. First edition of this lovely photographic tour of the Windy City, with text by the well-known Chicago writer and journalist Cromie. Drell was a noted Chicago photographer who, as a Jewish soldier in the U.S. Army Motion Picture Coverage Unit, documented the Nazi death camp horrors shortly after the war; he also covered D-Day and the liberation of Paris. Recipient Lieberman (1926-2008) is a noted Midwest photographer remembered for his 1974 title "Farm Boy.".
