A book for early readers, written for Native American children by a teacher at the Indian School in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Illustrations are based on those made the children. Very good with slight tanning of endpapers from the glue used by the printer. Occasional finger marks. Boards have light soiling with a bit more near the spine which is frayed and slightly sunned with a short tear at the head. No dust jacket.

Yellow endpapers are very good; front endpaper has owner's indentification in ink. text and illustrations are clean, tighjt, bright and unmarked. Yellow boards with black and red graphic symbol and black titles on front cover is tight and bright but there is some discoloration and a some material loss at the bottom of the spine. Author Isis Harrington taught Indian children in Albuquerque in the earlier half of the 20th century.
