This 7.25 x 10.625 inch, 147 page hardcover book with no just jacket is the 1976 second printing of this title with that information on the copyright page but with the title page showing the 1962 date in roman numerals. This book is in fine condition with virtually no wear showing to the cloth covers decorated with image of a native American on the front panel and with titling in brown on the spine. The interior features endpaper maps - and with numerous photographs of Sonoma Counts through the decades - with the initial chapter titled "Aboriginal Eden" - with a nice written and photographic look-back at the native Americans in this part of California. This book features again numerous historic photographs - as well as contemporary photos by several photographers - including Ansel Adams.
